HOME TOUR.
Whewwwww this was fun!!!!! We’ve been in our home a little over a year and it’s been such a good time making it feel like home to us. Finding how we use it best, adding little touches of comfort, organizing the heckkkkk out of it (only to reorganize it later ha) and finishing rooms slowly but surely. We had our friend Kunal Patel, who does photography come by to shoot the house (no we aren’t moving or listing it!) and these snaps came out GORG.
The white paint through the house is Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore.
The floors are these Mannington Maison Normandy in Brulee.

DINING ROOM
I had Maggie from Hunt + Gather help me design this room. I had the table, chairs, and overhead light, but needed help designing the room around those fave items. She is freaking awesome to work with - and does it all virtually!

LIVING ROOM
Couch: Restoration Hardware Maxwell (This was our dream couch and a huge splurge for us. We will have it for years and years.) We have it in the Berkshire leather, color is chestnut, regular depth. Probably could have gone with the deeper depth and been extra cozy! We’ve had it for a year now, and it’s held up great with kids and dogs! The leather we chose looks better the more beat up and worn in it gets.
Here is a less expensive dupe from West Elm option 1, and option 2, and here is the Ikea Kivik we has in our old house that everyone loved! It is a GREAT affordable fabric option (less than $800!!!!!) with washable covers)
TV: The Samsung Frame is LIFE. It’s totally flat to the wall, with a thin frame that looks like a picture frame. When it’s off, IT IS ART. You can choose different styles , or upload your own photos. I love this Etsy Shop for art. It’s so beautiful! We ordered another one for our bedroom (they just came out with bigger sizes!) plus two more for our basement.

KITCHEN
I am kind of obsessed with our kitchen island. When we were designing it, I kept saying I wanted it longer and wider, and the kitchen designer thought I was a little nuts. Having a huge island where there’s plenty of space for multiple people to prep, gather, hang, cook - was so important to me! Also, we left some extra space in between the island and the sink area and the island and the stove area. So multiple people can be helping or walking by and not bumping into each other! A few things I would have done differently: I would have made a bigger garbage/recycling area, and I would have done a built-in nugget ice maker near the sink.
One thing we did recently is installed speakers through the main living areas and we LOVE it so much. Music is constantly playing and I wish we had done it sooner and in more areas! Andrew from Unique Video & Sound is the freaking best to work with. In the rooms we didn’t install the speakers, we have the Sonos One speakers and they all connect to the whole house speaker system I control with my phone.

HALLWAY + BACK STAIRS
I had this vision to totally black out this back stairway and add texture - we finally finished and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! We had Craig Ely do the shiplap here, and also in our bedroom on an accent wall. Then we had The House Doctor come and paint it Tricorn Black by Sherwin Williams!
Wardrobe: I got this storage cabinet (Crate & Barrel Annie in Natural) to store our homeschool supplies for our adventure this year!

My office is right off of the main foyer area downstairs - I really needed it to look pretty and finished, but also function as a working office. It is still a work in progress - I LOVE the rug, love the table, love the filing cabinet…but the rest needs some vision. Maggie from Hunt + Gather will be helping me with this room soon!
