NO, ICED COFFEE DOESN'T COUNT AS WATER.
DRANKS
Today, we are chatting water consumption and how to make sure we are getting it down the freakin hatchhhh. It’s so important, but if you are like me, you’d prefer an iced latte instead. All. day. long.
But, obvi, not great for us. A few tricks I have found that help me drink a ton more water than I used to are:
A water bottle that is easy to drink from. so love my Stanley 40oz!!! BinkMade is also a go-to. Grab the Day Bottle and the Lounge Straw+Cap!
Ice. Nugget ice, to be exact. Sorry not sorry. Go grab a bag from Sonic or Chick-Fil-A, or grab an Opal Machine, or go hardcore and get the built-in Scotsman.
Something tasty in it that ALSO has health benefits.
TASTY WATER
These Vitality Drops from Young Living are SO GOOD. My kids are obsessed with them. They are packed with electrolytes (sourced from the Great Salt Lake, which has over 70 naturally occurring ionic trace minerals!!) which are so needed for our bodies to function properly. Electrolytes help regulate nerve and muscle function, hydrate the body, balance blood acidity and pressure, and help rebuild damaged tissue.
There are two delish flavors - Grapefruit Bergamot and Lavender Lemonade. They are vegan, sweetened with stevia, and have no sugar or artificial colors. One squeeze is perf for 8oz of water!
My other go-to - Liquid IV! My favvvve flavor is Tangerine, which has added vitamin C and zinc. I actually get excited to drink my water each day lol
I often add another few drops of Tangerine Vitality oil just to up my wellness game even more.
It uses CTT (cellular transport technology) to enhance rapid absorption of water and other key ingredients into the bloodstream. usually when you drink something, it passes through the entire digestive system, losing water before your body can absorb it. CTT uses a precise ratio of sodium, glucose and potassium to create an osmotic force that allows water to be delivered to the bloodstream earlier on in the digestive system. They are non-gmo, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free and made in the USA! Their science page is awesome for explaining exactly how each ingredient is there for a specific reason and all work together!
Fave flavors are: Tangerine, Lemon-Lime, Strawberry (Chris), and Pear (Grey)

NINGXIA + ZYNG
Evvvvery day this goes down the hatch in our fam - kids since they were 6 months old, dogs, anyone who stops by the house 🤣🤣 Everyone gets Ningxia Red! What is it? It’s a whole food purée made from wolfberries and essential oils. What is a wolfberry? Wolfberries are CRAZY high in antioxidants and so, so, so good for you. Now, Ningxia wolfberries are from the Ningxia region of China, where the most potent species (Lycium barbarum) is grown in the mineral-rich, super fertile soil near the Yellow River. This area is unlike anywhere else on the earth and it shows—this species of wolfberry has the HIGHEST antioxidant value. Go google antioxidants and free radicals and your mind will be blown. If you wanna deep dive, read Ningxia Wolfberry: The Ultimate Superfood. Good luck finding it though, it’s hard to get.
When I drink Ningxia my body feels looser and lighter, my digestion is improved, my joints move better, my brain works faster and my thoughts are clearer. Something we all need! In the summer, my fave way to drink it is as a spritzer - nugget ice, 2-4oz Ningxia, and a Zyng
(a bubbly wolfberry puree + white tea extract healthy energy drink) with some Lime + Tangerine Vitality oil.
For an extra pep in your step, add a little Nitro! It’s great for energy, but more so mental focus. Some of the cognitive enhancers are black pepper, nutmeg, vanilla, chocolate, yerba mate, spearmint, and peppermint essential oils. Lotsss of goodness! Bioenergy Ribose improves physical performance, speeds up recovery, and increases overall energy reserves. And then there are many other supportive ingredients, such as B vitamins, green tea extract, choline, and Korean ginseng, are added to sharpen the mind and invigorate the senses!
YA, the best. I chugged Ningxia/Zyng/Nitro during labor with Mila and it was so nourishing to my body.
Grab some here and let me know how you feel after drinking it for a month!
CLEAN WATER
Filtered water is always something I have been really mindful of, ever since my Grandma taught me about how important it was to make sure the water we were drinking was as pure as it could be.
Shout-out to my grandama - she made natural wellness the norm before it was the norm. I grew up learning about supporting your body with herbs and supplements and getting the toxins out of the house. She is where I got my passion for healthy living and helping others do the same. She was the oldest woman to be living with LAM, a rare lung disease. It typically affects women in their child bearing years and the prognosis can be fatal in a short time. My grandma was almost 80 when she died, and truly was a rockstar and inspiration to so many.
She taught me that all water filters are not created equal, and it stuck. I wrote a blog on my love for the Berkey system here - we even travel with it. In the RV, we have the travel berkey size, and then we have a bigger one for when we rent a house somewhere.
We also have a whole house filter we LOVE, and a few different other options where that wasn’t possible.
