PECAN HOUSE.
We are here! EEK! Finally. We have been dreaming about this place for so long, and we are at such peace now that we are here.
I’ll share a bit about how we found this dreamy spot, and lotssss of before and afters!
Each upstairs bedroom has a vanity with a sink and mirror, and a separate little room with the toilet. Each space has a different vibe and it’s so much fun!
The kitchen is so cozy and really functional!
We’d originally been thinking we’d look for land…just in case shit hit the fan ;) This was back in 2019. But then… 2020 came around and we realized land wasn’t going to cut it, and we wanted an actual home with some space that we could go and enjoy as a second home, but also be a safe space too. Our goals were some acreage, a state with lower taxes than we currently had, good weather and all seasons, but most importantly - a state that looooved it’s freedom in all the ways. We especially were looking at medical freedom and homeschool laws. We checked out a few other states but Oklahoma checked all the boxes perfectly for us.
We headed out in the summer of 2020 to look at some houses, and things were fllyyyyying off the market. This home we had seen the listing for a few months prior and it had always been on our radar. When we came out here to look, we were praying and prayyying it would still be here for us to see. The SECOND we set foot on this property we knew it was for us. It was so special, in so many ways. We put an offer in immediately, and had started signing paperwork before we left the next day!
We asked Christen at Blue J Home if she’d design it for us, and she is legit magic. She kept all its charm and the love and care that the previous owners poured into it, yet made it feel like “us.”
